The Indian mackerel (Scombry) is a small, fast schooling mackerel that fills Egyptian markets and bait buckets alike. It moves in big shoals near the surface filtering plankton, and is taken in numbers on small shiny lures, sabiki rigs and nets. Cheap, oily, tasty โ and prime live or cut bait for bigger predators.
