Uni Knot

The most versatile knot there is: works with mono AND braid, for hooks, swivels and even line-to-line connections.

When to use it

  • ·Hooks & swivels (all line types)
  • ·Joining two lines as a Double Uni
  • ·Tying line to the reel spool

Step by step

  1. 1Pass the line through the eye and lay it back parallel to the standing line
  2. 2Form a loop over both lines with the tag end
  3. 3Wrap the tag end through the loop and around both lines 5–6 times
  4. 4Wet the knot and pull the tag end until it beds down
  5. 5Slide the knot down to the eye and trim the tag
